Foundation of a strong family

In a public speech, Mufti* gave a very good advice regarding marriage.
He said that our family institution is based on three main principles.
If these three are found in our life, then our family will be strong.

These are:
  1. Modesty
  2. Simplicity
  3. Fulfilling the rights of others

If there are not found, then we'll find that there will be high divorce rate.

With regard to modesty, if any of the husband or wife is not controlling how he/she conducts with the non-mahram, it's very likely that the relationship will be shaken.

And if the family leads a life of luxury and extravagant, they will be trapped in that poverty cycle. Earning more will not benefit them because they'll spend more than what they are earning.

Also, if the husband respects the wife, surely inshaAllah the wife will return the favor. If the father fulfill the rights of the children, surely inshaAllah the children will be returning the rights to the father. But imagine if a problem happen in the family and everyone is demanding their on rights, then we'll see blame game will start to happen and so on..

As a recommendation, I'd like to suggest that every individual to revive these qualities through examples and attaching themselves with good circles. If the noblest man on earth is commanded to do so, then, this means that we are even more in need of such a company.

Wallahu a'lam.

May Allah make our household good and make it produce good households.

New Kickstart

Usually I will browse the internet during study breaks, hoping to see some blog updates from good netizens out there.

This use to be very convenient with Google Reader as I could just get the feeds in one page. Now that the Reader is terminated, I don't find any reliable substitute for it. As a consequence, blog reading activity is not as efficient as it use to be.

I was not very keen to write in my blog these days as I have a lot of documents to be prepared for my studies. However, the upset feelings of finding no updates for in my favorite blogs for a very long time make me reflect. Maybe they are more busy than I am, but still manage to squeeze a little bit of time to share their thoughts with the world.

I believe that if I want to get something, I must give.
Give a positive thoughts, you'll get positive response and likewise.

So, today I decided to put one post just to give a kickstart from a long blog break. (My excuses: studies, family commitments etc...).

I love to use that analogy of a big truck. If I put a break, then to restart the journey is as hard as to get it start the first time.
